Messe Frankfurt moves to establish a Sales Partner office in nairobi

There is no business platform that brings together as many people as trade fairs. Messe Frankfurt (MF) recognizes Kenya’s importance for the exhibition industry and on 17th November 2010, they held their first Press Conference in East Africa in Nairobi, Kenya.  MF is moving to establish a Sales Partner office in Nairobi to have more services on-site for the business community in the areas of trade fairs consulting and organizing, among other services.  Such an office is in place in Johannesburg.

With 424 million Euros in sales, Messe Frankfurt is one of the world’s largest trade fair organizers.  The Group boasts a global network of 28 subsidiaries, five branch offices and 52 international sales partners.  This means MF is present in more than 150 countries. Events “made by Messe Frankfurt” take place at more than 30 locations around the globe. In 2009, Messe Frankfurt organized more than 90 trade fairs, of which 54 took place outside Germany.

The traditional heart of the company is and remains its home location in Frankfurt, which played host to some 38,600 exhibitors and approximately 2.2 million visitors in 2009.  Frankfurt has been a renowned trade fair site for more than 800 years.

In pursuit of international strategy for globalised business being in existence for more that 20 years, Messe Frankfurt has systematically pursued its target with the result that today more fairs are staged abroad than at its home base in Frankfurt. The group has implemented a strategy of offering to small and medium-size companies, in particular, a global marketing tool with identical standards. Successful platforms in a particular business sector are taken to other countries from the home base and then these established brands are adjusted to suit the requirements in the country in question.  MF nevertheless provides exhibitors and visitors with the same high quality standards as the flagship event in Frankfurt.

In this way, Messe Frankfurt enables its exhibitors to showcase their products in all key economic regions, while its trade visitors benefit from fairs with an international programme of innovative products.  Simultaneously, exhibitors gain access to the market in the region of the world in which each event is held.
