Mutual learning on CSR Instruments and their effective implementation workshop on 5th September 2013 at Simba Lodge, Naivasha

Kenya Flower Council in cooperation with the Kenya Private Sector Alliance (KEPSA) and the Kenya Association of Manufacturers (KAM) would like to cordially invite you a workshop centring on Corporate Social Responsibility Instruments. Purpose of this workshop is to provide a forum for mutual learning on CSR Instruments and their effective implementation. Kenya’s flower industry – one of the most important trade sectors of the country – engages instruments of promoting ethical work standards. These instruments are administered and overseen by the Kenya Flower Council (KFC). KFC will be sharing their experiences with the participants. The Workshop will grant the opportunity to familiarize with the Code ofEthics for Business in Kenya, a tool aiming to promote ethical behaviour in business relations on a voluntary basis. It was developed by Kenya Association of Manufacturers (KAM), Kenya Private Sector Alliance (KEPSA) and the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) with the assistance of the GIZ Good Governance Programme. Hosted by KAM, who also hosts the United Nations’ Global Compact Network Kenya (GCNK), the Code of Ethics for Business in Kenya was launched in 2012.The results of the discussions shall be used to for structuring further cooperation on the development and implementation of CSR instruments on integrity and fighting corruption in the private sector.
