EAC EU EPA negotiation update

The East African Community – European Union Economic partnership Agreement (EAC EU EPA) negotiations next meeting is anticipated to take place on July 21, 2014. We understand the objective of the meeting will be to resolve the four outstanding issues and initial the agreement. The only outstanding issues are on governance, export taxes, subsidies and domestic support which are political in nature

Once this is done the EAC will need to address how to ensure there is no trade interruption after October 1, 2014. The Kenya Flower Council has her ears on the ground and will keep you updated on the progress.
