Kenya Flower Council in collaboration with Floriculture Sustainability Initiative (FSI) will soon embark on a project to enhance small holders’ market access. This has been necessitated by the fact that, small holders’ farmers have for a long time failed to access market due of lack of capacity to demonstrate compliance to international standards and limited opportunities to meet with buyers.
This project intends to ensure small holder farmers have the capacity to understand and implement the compliance aspects through the set code of practice. This will be achieved through group certification. In addition market linkage will be created between farmers and buyers. More information will follow.
