	KFC MEMBERSHIP
	As of June 2010,the council had a total Regular membership of 59 flower-growing and exporting companies who own 71 farms situated throughout the country. The current KFC membership represents about 50 - 60% of the flowers exported from Kenya. Associate membership stands at 44 members representing major Cut Flower Auctions and Distributors in UK, Holland, Switzerland, Germany and Kenya. The Kenya Flower Council is a private voluntary association of independent growers and exporters of cut-flowers and ornamentals. KFC was formed to foster the responsible and safe production of cut flowers in Kenya while protecting the natural environment and promoting the welfare of all farm staff 1.
